What’s on at The Book Forest
in Niagara Park By Mr Leaf
The Book Forest believes in nurturing Wonder,
creativity, and a love of nature. And in being quirky.
Traditional Oral Storytelling with Lindy and Ulf.
Remember that? Around the campfire, full of characters and
interactions. Wednesday afternoons during school term
3:30–4:15. For primary School age – $5 per child.
The Winter season of the Heart & Place writing course is on again
and The Book Forest are taking names. Limited to six people, it’s a
course that’s been described as “soulful”, “rich in content”, even “life
changing”. Facilitator Peter Shepherd is an internationally award
winning nature writer and poet. Course will run Sundays 1-4pm,
for six weeks, and will start pretty much when the class is full.
Costs are $350 or $250 conc.
Book club! Monday evenings.
School Holidays...
Traditional Storytelling Wednesdays 10:30–11:45. $5 per child
Mayan mask-making workshop and Storytelling with Dr Lisa
Dunbar Solas. Authentic creation stories and mask techniques.
Thursday June 4, 10–12.
Colour to Music workshop for mums and toddlers. Language
and motor skills, imagination, storytelling and craft. Vanessa
works the kids into the story so remember to book in!
