Arlesey Community Events Group
Treasure Trail
and Easter
Bonnets
On Saturday March 26th there
was a flurry of activity throughout
Arlesey, with parents and children
trekking up and down the village
on a treasure trail. The object was
to find various items that can be seen around the village. Pages of
images were distributed to those taking part who in turn had to find
the subject of those images and mark down where they were.
Later in the afternoon the Easter Bonnet competition was held in St.
Peter’s church with some fantastic entries from both young and not so
young. Images: Andrew Ward.

June 11th Party in the Park
In recognittion of the Queen’s 90th year this will be a very patriotic
Party. Starting at 4.00pm there are many planned events such as
music from local bands – we are looking for local bands or performers
to take part. With an optional dress code of Red, White and Blue there
will be plenty of opportunity to sing-a-long. Children’s games are
planned and the group are also looking to screen the Euro match.
Please save the date and if you know of any bands or performers
who would like to take part, please get in contact – details below
The Arlesey Community Events Group is a steering committee of 10
residents who are organising events for the community to both attend
and be involved in. The group was responsible for the Christmas lights
switch on, the carol singing and the Easter event, they have lots of
exciting things planned for the rest of 2016.
The group would like a new logo designed for use on all publicity
material for future events.
What you need to do:
Draw by hand or design on a computer, a logo for the ‘Arlesey Events
Group’. The group want the logo to represent Arlesey, whether this is
something within Arlesey, or something Arlesey means to you.
The winner will be announced on the 11th June at the ‘Party in the
Park’ event, where the winner will receive a prize. Final date for entries
will be 31st May.
3rd September Village Fete
This year the Village Fete has superceded the Arlesey Fun Day. Organised by the Aceg on behalf of ATC the fete promises to be a larger and fun
filled event with the usual arena shows plus plenty more features. In addition to this there will be a horticultural show with an extensive list of
categories. So if you would like to enter any of these get growing, baking, crafting or snapping – see below:
