Today there are still signs of the history from those golden years such as
the Signalmans house at the end of Old Oak Close (below) and below that
work has recently been finished on the lengthening of both platforms and
upgrading of the Ticket Office and access.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Arlesey as they began
their tour of Mid Beds. The Royal Train arrived on Friday 17th November
at 5.14 pm.
They royal party were greeted by a group of well-wishers and Her Majesty
received posies from Ellen Dart, 8 and Martha Trendell, 5 before a police
escort led the way to Samuel Whitbread Community College, Shefford Road
in Clifton.
