of OMS in the early days in Japan, Korea, and China). As a result of the Korean village campaign, the KEHC experienced great re- vival in the 1930s. This evangelism movement in the early days of OMS in Korea is similar to the goals of the Billion.Global vision today … to help souls who have not yet heard the Gospel to hear it. With that goal always in mind, the 113 th general assembly of the KEHC seeks to continue the spirit of the early revival of the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church with the slogan, “Changing Times With the Gospel of Holiness.” No matter how difficult the times may be (the evangelism campaign hit a huge roadblock in 1940 when the Japanese expelled missionar- ies from Korea), the Gospel will be pro- claimed, and when the name of Jesus is proclaimed, amazing power and hope for life will be revealed. With great enthusiasm, the KEHC plans to continue to expand its evangelistic ministry through the Church Multiplication Strategy Committee (CMSC), using the Train & Multiply 17 (T&M) materials provided by OMS’ Every Community for Christ team. Through the sending ministry of the CMSC, laypeople are being trained and pastors are being coached and encouraged in abundant proclamation of the Gospel and are mak- ing disciples to the next generation. For example, in May 2018, the CMSC held a T&M launch seminar for the first time to train Korean church planters and missionaries in the Church Planting Training Center and the Missionary Training Center, and we have plans to make the T&M launch seminar a regular part of the training course at both centers. In February 2019, the CMSC provided training in using the T&M app, which can be used anywhere in the world. OMS missionaries helped lead this training, and the KEHC plans to continue expanding this training. To date, the KEHC has a total of 556 missionaries in 62 coun- tries. About 12 full-time career mission- aries are trained each year in a 7-month course at the Missionary Training Center. Special assignment, tentmaking, and other types of cooperating missionaries receive additional training as well. Through this, the KEHC will continue to participate in sharing the Gospel so that at least a billion people can hear, understand, and believe the Gospel message. photo page 16: An evangelistic crusade in Seoul, Korea, circa the 1970s. photos page 17, above: Women of the KEHC share the Gospel on the streets. below: KEHC’s T&M launch seminar participants
