Democratic Republic of the Congo Kikuru had the opportunity to study Islamic theology in Sudan. After five years of schooling, he completed his Islamic studies. Then for 11 years, he worked as an imam, or Muslim leader, overseeing four mosques. In 2012, Kikuru met Pastor Shambo, an OMS leader in Goma. Pastor Shambo shared the Gospel with Kikuru, and he believed and was saved. Soon thereafter, he was baptized. Kikuru is now a village church planter in the DRC. Pastor Shambo disciples Kikuru and is training him to share the Good News with Muslims. To view this video testimony, click here. South Asia Young women like Merina, trained by OMS ministries Every Community for Christ and Dynamic Women in Missions, are having a huge impact on the lives of men and women in remote villages in South Asia. Entire families ar e being saved as these young women share Bible stories, pray for the families, and help apply the truth of God’s Word to their lives. South Korea Hope61, OMS’ human trafficking prevention ministry, conducted their first training in South Korea in February. Forty pastors and church workers participated with positive feedback. Hope61 is currently evaluating opportunities to train many more workers in two partner ministries in Korea, the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church and Friends of All Nations. India In June 2016, the Evangelical Church of India (ECI) will hold a Diamond Jubilee to celebrate God’s faithfulness in establishing more than 5,500 churches and 8,000 house churches throughout India. Looking to the future, OMS will join ECI to train 7,000 new church planters to start at least 7,000 new house churches this year. Australia In March, 16 people of 10 nationalities from 5 organizations gathered in Sydney for 2 intensive days of Train & Multiply training, an effective church multiplication method used widely by OMS. One couple from Germany plans to start a ministry to refugees in their town. Others are reaching ethnic groups and international students. 17
