Taiwan
Morrison Academy students are making an impact on the people of
Taichung, Taiwan. Students in the middle school have pulled weeds
at a senior citizens home, sang Christmas carols, handed out tracts
in the market, and planned games for students at a school for physically and mentally challenged students. Morrison students also have
volunteered to help distribute more than 4,000 Bibles to Chinese tourists
on Saturdays. These are a few of the service projects students have done in Jesus’ name.
South Korea
In September 2013, eight missionary candidate families from the
Korea Evangelical Holiness Church were commissioned and sent out
to various countries in Asia, South America, and North America. The
new missionaries are adjusting to their mission fields, learning new
languages and cultures, and beginning their ministries.
Madagascar
There are still several unreached
tribal groups and other people,
of which only a small section has
been reached in this nation.
Approximately 80–90 percent
of Malagasy people live in hard-to-reach
rural areas, and the distance is enormous
due to lack of accessible roads. But we are
grateful to God for working among the Sakalava,
Tsimihety, Sihanaka, and Betsimisaraka tribes in
the northern and eastern regions, where animism
and witchcraft are still predominantly practiced. The
response to our outreach work varies in these areas, but
we praise God for the many witch doctors who have come
to the Lord.
