The internship went beyond professional development ; it also helped me spiritually and relationally and provided insight for my future .
Coming into the internship , I did not expect to develop such close relationships with the other interns , but God brought together a special group of people . Through the outings planned by Mobilization , as well as walks , dinners , games , and movie nights , the intern team built friendships that will last a lifetime .
Through my mentor ( an OMS missionary ), Lunch and Learns , group Bible study , personal devotions , and the trip to Colombia , I learned that God is trustworthy , full of grace , and holds my future . I discovered my passion for working with people who want to serve God . I saw how I can use my love of writing , language , and people to serve him in a fulltime ministry setting .
During the trip to Colombia , I witnessed the need , power , and relevance of the Gospel . I saw two people accept Christ and learned about the OMS ministries and people God is using to bring Colombians into his kingdom . Watching God work on the field and at OMS ’
World Headquarters ( HQ ) enriched my internship experience .
From the welcoming staff and my fellow interns at HQ to the wonderful people in Colombia , God showed me his servants using their gifts and abilities for his kingdom . I cannot wait to do the same wherever he leads .
