2014 LEAVERS
10 YEARS ON ...
Ellie Furby ( 07-14 ) took a year out after leaving school , before completing a business management degree at Northumbria University . She is now the Business Development Manager at IG Property in York .
Emma Hutchinson ( 03-14 ) works as a RICS accredited chartered surveyor in the utilities and infrastructure sector .
Charlotte Lewis ( 06-14 ) is a product designer at JustGiving . One of the key components of her role involves understanding the behaviours , motivations and mindsets of fundraisers and creating digital experiences that help them to achieve their objectives . Charlotte has worked on an AI project that has gained recognition in newspapers like The Times and said : “ This role was not something I knew existed whilst at school , but it combines various subjects I studied , including psychology , English language and design .”
Georgina Lloyd ( 03-14 ) graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2020 and is currently working as a veterinary surgeon in Ripon , North Yorkshire . In her free time , she enjoys singing and writing music for her band and walking Lexi the whippet .
Hugh Robinson ( 04-14 ) is working as an engineering manager in the Civil Service .
Joshua Wagstaff ( 06-14 ) has been working at JLL in their Canary Wharf office as a property surveyor . He has now started his chartership qualification having graduated with an MSc in Real Estate .
Adam Glew ( 05-14 ) is working for Arup as a fire safety engineering consultant , on assignment to the Sydney office in Australia .
Rebekah Hesmondhalgh ( 12-14 ), having completed a degree in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick , stayed on to complete her PGCE and an MA in Professional Education . Since then , she has been teaching Drama at The King ’ s School , Canterbury and is now head of department .
Connor McCabe ( 07-14 ) is working in Oval , London as a System Designer for the High-End Residential industry . He is involved in Smart Home / AV technical design predominantly using CAD software .
Fred Weeks ( 09-14 ) joined the Rix Group as part of the Fuelmate team , suppliers of Fuelcards to businesses across the UK . Prior to joining Rix , he worked for 2 years as a professional actor at Hull Truck Theatre including leading roles in “ Jack , Mum and the Beanstalk ”, “ Spamalot ”, and “ Guts ! The Musical ”.
