Thunder Roadhouse Run
Mark your calendars for March 31st ! It ' s time for the 13th annual Thunder Roadhouse Run ! There will be 3 days of entertainment and it all starts at the Thunder Roadhouse Cafe at 900 West Memorial Road in Oklahoma City . Come out and do a little betting even on Day one . The Thunder Roadhouse Cafe is the only off-track betting facility in the area ; there ' s a full-service bar where you can grab a drink , kick back and watch the races . On Day Two , there will be a bike show , live music from the " Stockyard Boys ", Chicken Crap Bingo , a silent auction , 50 / 50 , and a raffle for a custom built motorcycle (!!) On April 2 , the Stockyard Boys kick off the Thunder Roadhouse Run : registration starts at 10 am with kick stands up at 11 . Run fees are $ 20 for the first rider and $ 10 per passenger . At each stop , you will receive a ticket for a chance to win amazing top quality prizes , AND you can also purchase tickets for a chance to win a 2017 Indian Scout motorcycle to be drawn at the end of the run . Last stop will be a return visit to the Thunder Roadhouse Cafe with the last bike in at 5 pm .
This event is hosted by the Billygoat Foundation . Every year , they pick a family that has a child who has been diagnosed with cancer to donate 50 % of all of their proceeds directly to that family . The other 50 % are given to the Oklahoma Brain and Tumor Foundation , who not only do cancer research to help find a cure for these children , they also help multiple families at any given time . No child should have cancer ; it ' s bad enough when your baby is diagnosed with this horrible disease but dealing with the emotional and financial struggles on top of it can almost be too much for the strongest of us to handle . The OTBF is a non-profit organization that do as much as they can to offer these families relief .
The Thunder Roadhouse Run is one of the largest spring bike rallies in the state and is finds charity everywhere ( even the beer tents are run by charity organizations ). There are close to 50 vendors with food , drinks and souvenir items , all ages and all vehicles are welcome and this is a rain or shine event .
Contact Eric at 405.520.7060 for more information or visit their website at Thunderroadhouserun . com to make a donation . Every penny helps .
