Cerealia took place over the course of 8 days in April. The Festival of Cerealia was the main celebration of Ceres, the Roman goddess of the harvest and agriculture. This festival was meant to ensure Ceres brought a strong harvest. Cerealia was celebrated with the Ludi Ceriales ('the games of Ceres) which were held in the Circus Maximus to honor the goddess.

Parilia is another spring festival that celebrates the birthday of Rome! Celebrated on April 21, this festival honors the pales, gods and goddesses who protect flocks. On this day, Romulus founded his city and, to honor this, Vestal Virgins distributed straw and ash throughout the city, along with the blood of sacrificed animals. Over time, this festival became less about shepherds and was used to honor the founding of Rome.
