A Roman Recipe:

Honeyed Pancakes with Pears

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour

1/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 cup Water

1/4 cup Olive Oil

2 Eggs

2 tablespoons Honey

Sesame Seeds

Instructions:

Combine flours and salt in a large bowl. Mix in the water, olive oil, eggs, and honey in another bowl, and then as to the dry ingredients. Slowly whisk to combine, then allow to rest.

Lightly toast sesame seeds on the stovetop.

Lightly oil a pan over medium heat, spoon in 2 tablespoons of batter, and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side. Continue making the cakes until all the batter is used.

Top with honey and sesame seeds, then serve.
