Certamen should be considered a sport by all because of what
certamen players do and what qualities they possess. Certamen
being considered a sport is important because it demonstrates that
sports are not purely athletic. To succeed in a sport, a player needs
to have great mental and physical attributes, not just physical
prowess.
I’d like to end my argument with a quote from one of the
funniest baseball players ever: Yogi Berra. He once said, “Baseball
is ninety percent mental, and the other half is physical.”
