Let's talk about your guests. After all without them there is no party. I am not a fan of opening my event up to the public as I see many IMVUers do. I like and do suggest to keep it really simple by inviting only family, dear friends, and a few acquaintances. When I say acquaintances, I am not speaking of someone who likes every photo down your IG page. You feel me? With that said, make sure you are planning your shower with not just you in mind but also your guests and what might be fun for them. I made sure to not have it drawn out and to have it flow and stay on time! With that said, you along with your planner can create an agenda.
GIFTS. If you must open gifts during the shower keep it short & sweet. I did it, but you may ex it and just have a very pretty set up
of the gift area and open your gifts after the party or the next day at home with hubby!
GAMES. This part was super fun and I got a real opportunity to interact with and to just enjoy my guests. Keep the games simple and cute and not so humiliating. LOL.
FOOD. I had finger foods and sweet treats. Of course I had drinks - mock tails. LOL
MUSIC. I had a live DJ which is preferred over a play list that you're controlling which takes away from you enjoying your shower. UGH. HIRE A DJ. preferably.
Lastly, bumps, capture every precious moment of your event! Hire a VIDEOGRAPHER & PHOTOGRAPHER. Do not attempt to do all that. Your job that night is to be showered!
Enjoy the process,bumps, from planning to execution. Do it big or small just have a ball!
