Throwing a baby shower is so much fun, but can be a headache if you don't have the support of your significant other, friends and family. Me being so anal and a stickler for details..okay A PERFECTIONIST, I threw my own shower. Yeah, yeah I know its so nontraditional. At least I got everything that I wanted and as I saw it in my head, done! With the help of a few folks of course. It takes a team, bumps, and I want to share my experience with you.
First, bumps, if you are not a DIYer or prone to planning a decent party or gathering hire a professional planner. Gawd I can not tell you how key this part is. My planner was a good friend of my husband's and now mine - Ms. Honey Woo of DW Events and Rentals. She kept everything on task and running smoothly throughout the entire shower. Now of course me being a creator I created most of the decor and used my own venue. Yes, bumps, you can use a space you already have instead of breaking the bank renting out or purchasing a whole decorated room. Although, I'm definitely not knocking the decorated room as I hate doing all of that on my own,but use that backyard you never go in or decorate your home with custom decorations or items from a decorated room in shop! Make it work, bumps!
Now, furthermore, your planner can help you with the entire shower or bits and pieces as you see fit. Me being who I am - the DIYer, anal, and a perfectionist, I handled most every aspect of my shower from the invitations to the venue to the decor. Honey helped keep me in check, on task, and the party running as it should.
