This time it’s our privilege to have Architect Habeeb
talk with us and share his views on verbal abuse.
Khan
Architect Habeeb Khan is one of the renowned, sought after,
flamboyant and revolutionary architects of Central India. He has
his Studio 'Smita & Habeeb Khan and Associates set up in Nagpur.
His works include a wide range from turnkey projects to
architectural and interior works. An artist at heart he has
umpteen paintings of his framed in his Studio, Residence and
most of his sites as well. It is almost impossible to get in touch
with him due to his overtly busy schedule as apart from office
and site works he also dedicates part of his time to teaching,
seminars, inspections and is the Director of Priyadarshini Institute
of Architecture and Design Studies. He has also initiated
and organized many conferences.
OH SO YOU GUYS WANNA LEGALISE THE WHOLE DEAL BY
WRITING ABOUT IT. HUH....!
WTF.
It would be insightful to get firsthand information and thoughts
from a man who has been in the industry most generous with
such abuses for almost 30 yrs. now.
HERE YOU GO AGAIN. ASSUMPTIONS. ASSUMPTIONS AND
MORE ASSUMPTIONS.. SALA SHAREEF AADMI KI BADNAMI.
Q: To start with I want to know how often do you use foul
language and what triggers it?
A: WELL I USED TO. BUT NOW I DON'T. I HAVE MELLOWED
DOWN OVER AGE. NOW I RARELY USE. AND THERE'S NO
COUNTING. Come on!
And triggers are many. Basically anger for me and venting of that
anger. Without actually meaning to demean the concerned and
the one who is receiving it. The bloody whole thing is that the
person who is at the receiving end takes great offence n gets
peeved up. While the same guy would be hurling the same
expletives liberally. So that's the paradox our dual society lives in.
We Indians have double standards for everything. And more so
when it comes to the use of hurling abuses.
Q: I have heard many people say that abusing is their way of
expressing their love? Your comment?
Having been a part of almost everything (good ;) ) under the sun
and a regular almost a daily traveler, he is the best person to
throw some light on our current issue. So let’s hear it from the
Horse's mouth, pardon me if I am wrong :p
Sir, I have been a big fan of your work and also have had the
pleasurable opportunity to work with you.
I reckon, be it corporate or construction or any profession or
business round the world the use and reuse or abuse is
unavoidable today.
NOT REALLY. WHO THE HELL SAYS THAT IT IS UNAVOIDABLE
N ALL PREVALENT. KUCH BHI ASSUME KARTE LOG.
From labors to contractors to builders and engineers you have
worked with people from varied fields at various levels. Along
with the team your clientele has been from all genres and
different mindsets.
This time we at
verbal abuses.
oh!!! wo-(man-ia)
plan to dissect the science
A: BULL SHIT. In fact most people abuse or use derogatory
words without understanding. It's become a way of talking
and is mostly used abundantly and liberally. If one starts
analyzing each of the cuss words one will be absolutely
ashamed. And may be its not expression of love but basically
one use abuses in the company of close friends. The more the
cuss words in a sentence the more the closeness. And the more
one feels at ease. We need to understand one thing and see
this issue in Indian context. Out there in the West the use is
limited to Wtf, f-u and so on. But out here we Indians have a
wide range of words having diverse meanings. They
essentially derogate womankind and come to think of it and
analyze these cuss words; bloody imagine the creativity that
go
