PAM BURRIDGE SURFING SCHOOL
(www.pamburridge.com)
The opportunity to brush up on one's
surfing skills with a former world champion
(who's also a Shoalhaven local) is one you
don't come by every day!
Pam Burridge runs a fabulous surfing
school at Mollymook Beach. The Pam
Burridge Surfing School provides friendly
coaches, great with kids and big kids alike,
making learning to surf a super fun
experience. You don't need to be brave,
just willing to give it a try!
WILD GINGER (www.wild-ginger.com.au)
One of the challenges for foodies who are
located in sleepy coastal towns can be
finding for high quality and/or a variety of
cuisine options. So when we headed off to
Wild Ginger in the centre of Huskisson, our
tastebuds were delighted to experience a
beautiful degustation that was filled an
incredible fusion of Asian-inspired flavours
that transcended us into delicious new
realms of satiety.
Wild
Ginger’s
food
psychology
is
predominantly based around Thai dishes
but it also offers a variety of cultural
recipes from the whole region of South
East Asia. Living on the beautiful shores of
Jervis Bay, it’s blessed with some amazing
seafood produce (e.g. yellowfin tuna,
crayfish, oysters, snapper, flathead, bream
and blackfish, which are often seen on the
menu when in season).
PILGRIM'S CAFÉ
(www.pilgrimsmenu.com.au)
Vegetarian fare typically fails to excite me;
that is, until I laid foot in the very funky
looking, and well reputed Pilgrim's Cafe in
Huskisson.
Once I got my head around the fact their
extensive, mouth-watering menu did not
include bacon, I found myself enjoying a
nourishing plate of goodness and not even
missing my beloved bacon! We were
delighted by the portion sizes too!
Pilgrims Café Huskisson is a popular café
with the locals. The menus include
delicious meals for all tastes, from
pancakes and granola to burgers, pies and
wraps. The perfect coastal café; their

Huskisson
juices are named after local breaks and
they have surf board hanging the walls.
You’re definitely in for culinary delight.
BANNISTERS PAVILLION ROOFTOP BAR &
GRILL (www.bannisters.com.au/restaurantand-bar-mollymook)
Celebrity chef Rick Stein is renown for his
exquisite meals at his established
restaurant in Mollymook called Rick Stein
at Bannisters. An extension of this is
Bannisters Pavillion Rooftop Bar and Grill,
which offers a more relaxed dining option
but with the same high quality fare that
Rick Stein is known for.
The Rooftop's menu is inspired by
Mediterranean, Southern Californian and
Mexican cuisines, complemented by
seasonal cocktails, craft beers and an
Antipodean-focused wine list. There’s also
a special children’s menu that includes
dessert and a drink, making it an even
more family-friendly option than his
original restaurant.
