FINANCIAL
FITNESS…
IN BUSINESS AND IN LIFE
Justin Tamsett provides these tips to create financial fitness both in your
business and homelife.
he Aussie economy is changing: retail spending is moving online, stocks are up and down, housing sales move quickly off
the market, and even some financial managers suggest we cut our gym membership loose as a way to save money. Despite
tough times, you need to keep moving. After all, when the times get tough, the tough get going – right? Here’s how:

1 Get a ‘yes’ attitude. Stop watching
the news and focus on what you can
do, rather than what you can worry
about! Strengthen your motivation
and read Jeffrey Gittomer’s book Yes!
Attitude every day. And, if you own or
manage a business then share the
book with your staff, and follow up
with
a
five-minute
attitude
adjustment meeting every morning.
2 Set realistic personal goals for your
year ahead. Ensure there is pot of
gold at the end of your rainbow. So
change or increase your personal
reward to add extra motivation to
reach your goals.
Inspire and lead your family –

whether that be your personal family
or work family. On a weekly basis
bring everyone together and share
what you are each grateful for.

people, both in work and life. Being
around people who have similar desires
in life means you will support and help
each other achieve your goals.
4 Get up early. Yes the early bird does
get the worm, so set your alarm 30
minutes early and sharpen your
personal sword: exercise, read or
meditate.
Sometimes it may appear easier to go with the flow and not stand up for what you want.
But then you have to live with regret for the rest of your life. In this ever-changing
world, this year choose to focus on what you can control: your life.
