FIM ENEL MotoE™ World Championship

2023 was a big year for MotoE™ . No longer a Cup , the electric competition gains World Championship status this season . Not just that ; a new manufacturer provided the bikes . And the calendar expanded to eight rounds !
In 2023 , MotoE™ welcomed Ducati as the single manufacturer , with plenty to look forward to as the grid switch machinery and get ready for the most comprehensive season ever . Eight rounds in seven countries saw MotoE™ join the MotoGP™ paddock from Le Mans , kicking off competition alongside the 1000th Grand Prix , and the season ran all the way through to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli . That was every MotoGP™ stop in Europe between May and early September , creating a 16-race , eight-round , actionpacked MotoE™ season . Every team had two bikes as Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™ and Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse expand , making it nine teams and 18 riders set to contest MotoE™ ’ s first season as a World Championship . Present at every European Grand Prix from Le Mans to Misano and racing on all-new Ducati machinery , MotoE™ begins a new era of competition in 2023 . The timetable also changed in 2023 . Saturday was the showstopper for the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship . It ’ s race day – and nothing else ! The two showdowns both took place on Saturday afternoon , making it a true spectacle for fans at the track and viewers at home .
Amongst the riders , some familiar names fought it out to become MotoE™ World Champion in a thrilling championship that went down right the way to the final round . Mattia Casadei ( HP Pons Los40 ) claimed his first ever championship triumph thanks to a thrilling last season run , when he won five of the last seven races . He was given serious competition from twotime Cup winner Jordi Torres ( Openbank Aspar Team ), and first ever Cup winner Matteo Ferrari ( Felo Gresini MotoE™ ), who finished second and third . Proving the new Ducati machinery worked well with a variety of different riders and riding styles , MotoE™ produced eight different winners in 2023 – a variety that is almost unrivalled across any racing clas . The likes of Hector Garzo ( Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™ ), Randy Krummenacher ( Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™ ), Nicholas Spinelli ( HP Pons Los40 ), Eric Granado ( LCR E-Team ) and Andrea Mantovani ( RNF MotoE™ Team ) won at least one race , and were regularly involved in the spectacular fights for the podium . There can be no doubting , the MotoE™ World Championship delivered in 2023 !
