Camden County

Camden Waterfront

The Camden Waterfront is the big attraction in the city of Camden, featuring stellar views of the Philadelphia skyline. The Adventure Aquarium is a must see, where you can see a hammerhead shark on the prowl. It is one of only two in captivity in the entire country.

Visit the Children’s Garden next door where interactive garden exhibits spark the imagination – from Alice in Wonderland to Dinosaurs, exploring will sure to please both young and old.

Tour the Four Seasons Butterfly House to observe over 100 butterfly species in their natural tropical habitat. After lunch, climb aboard Battleship New Jersey, the nation’s most decorated battleship.

Evening: Take in a concert with Symphony in C, the resident orchestra at Rutgers University. Be sure to view the Stedman Gallery art exhibits before your show at the Rutgers Camden Center for the Arts.

Looking for something more dramatic? South Camden Theatre Company will not disappoint. This company stages seldom-seen, classic plays and original works by its founding playwright.
