Igniting the creative passions of our customers When it comes to art, do you think of Officeworks? Not all our customers do – yet. But that’s exactly what the Marketing and Retail teams are trying to accomplish with our refreshed Love to Learn creativity program. Off the back of campaigns such as Enrich Your Downtime, our Creativity Brand Platform and in the investment in our growing range of art supplies Learn and Grow products, the time was ripe to reinvigorate our in-store class program and help our customers revive their artistic passions. In May, we kicked-off our refreshed Love to Learn program with a series of eight online how-to video tutorials – How to Paint a Portrait; How to write the Alphabet with Calligraphy Lettering; How to Draw an Eye; How to Write a Brilliance Poem; How to Draw and Dog; How to Paint and Landscape; How to Make Wedding Invitations with Calligraphy and How to Get Started with Creative Writing. Each featured an expert artist teaching the skill. More than 500 customers participated in the class over the month, a 25% increase on the previous year’s numbers. And the program is continuing in store, with creative classing on drawing, watercolour Customer feedback on the classes has been very positive and the team are looking forward to improving the classes and finding more opportunities to bring our customers into store for creativity classes in the future.
