The First Famous White Rapper

Rap was not popular among the white americans. This ammounted in many different ways such as, no white rappers, and white people did not listen to rap as much as the black community. That does not mean that people did not try. A lot of white males attempted to make it in the rap community but failed and gave up. It was not until the later 80's and early 90's until white rapper Eminem came out from hiding in the Detroit Underground.

Eminem, also known as Marshall Bruce Mathers III is a famous white rapper that emerged in the rap community at the age of 17. He moved around a lot at a young age and was beaten to the point where he was found in the school bathroom bleeding. He was called a failure and was told he could not make it. After entering into the Detroit Rap Olympics under his rap alias Slim Shady, he was noticed by an intern at Interscope Records where legendary Dr.Dre was the owner. His alter ego became very popular and was known as the monster under kids beds. This side of him had no filter and was not afraid to speak his mind. This cuased trouble in his relationships and his parenting. He slowly rose to fame becoming more popular among the black and white community. He finally started releasing music of lesser language and retired Slim Shady. Later in his carrer he made the hit single "The Monster ft. Rhiannah" showing that he was done with this vulgar side of him.

Rap In the 2000's

Rap since the 70's has evolved greatly. Generations have shown new skills, producers have released new beats, and the rhymes have become more catchy. We now have rappers such as Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Kendrick Lammar, Lil Yachty, and many others. We also now have more white rappers in the rap community. We have female rappers and rappers of different cultures. We have people from different backgrounds coming together to make one of the most contraversial, but catchy and popular forms of music.
