So, how can musicals inspire us and affect our everyday lives? Musicals can influence activities we do and emotions we have everyday. For example, a musical that demonstrates the meaning of life and the people around you can make you consider how much the people around you actually mean to you. How can the most well known musicals change the way you see, respond, and react to things that happen daily? Sometimes we could take away from something we see without us knowing it or even it affecting our actions right befor we do something. For example , say you saw a musical about what it is like to be less fortunate than others, and then you walk by someone who is homeless. Although you don't usually help the needy you think, what if that is me someday? Out of no where you decide to help them out. So, something you could learn from a musical like that is that, little things in your day could have a huge impact on other people. There are many things to take away from a musical.

So, although a musical is just a performance, how can they inspire us through their content and charaters? I believe that it takes a form of art and skill to perform. Different musicals can influence you to do different things. Whatever it's about there is something in every musical to take away. So, what is it we can take away from musicals? I believe that can be a lesson, although diferent musicals can demonstrate different lessons. The musicals we know today took off around the 1860's. Rodgers and Hamerstein were the most important contributors to the musical play form of the 20th century. A local favorite of Rodger and Hamerstein's musicals is Oklahoma.
