THE GOOD DINOSAUR
ust having the words
‘Pixar Animation
Studio’ attached to a
picture is enough of a sign of
quality to get your bum on
that seat – and that’s before
you see how cute and
intriguing the main character
is. The Good Dinosaur follows
an Apartosauraus named Arlo
as he makes an unlikely
J
human friend while travelling
through a harsh environment.
Together they’re forced to
confront their fears which
leads them to discover what
they’re truly capable
of. Promising to be an
emotional, inspirational tale,
you’re sure to read ‘Can I have
an Arlo, please?’ on your kids’
Christmas wishlist.
What do you call a blind
dinosaur? What do you mean
you’ve already heard it?!

SUFFRAGETTE
This story has been a long time in the coming,
and will run riot with your emotions
It’s quite amazing that this story hasn’t made the big
screen in more recent memory, as it’s certainly one that
deserves to be told. Tracking the stories of the foot soldiers
in the early feminist movement, this focusses on Maud
(Carey Mulligan – Drive, Inside Llewyn Davis), a working
class woman who has seen her and her fellows’ peaceful
protests achieve nothing. They decide that they have to
take up more extreme measures to fight for dignity in an
increasingly brutal state. It’s a story from our not-sodistant past that forced everyday woman to risk their jobs,
homes, children and lives in the pursuit of equality.
