Watch the trailer Sully What happened next... In January 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 departed LaGuardia Airport with Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger at the helm. Just 100 seconds into the flight, the aircraft flew into a flock of geese rendering both engines useless. Sully, a pilot with decades of experience, calmly landed the plane in New York’s Hudson River, in the process saving the lives of all 155 people on board. He was hailed as a hero by every newspaper in the Western world, but what we didn’t hear about was the aftermath – the part where Sullenberger was hauled over the coals. Could he have made it back to the airport? Playing less like a biopic and more like a thriller, Clint Eastwood’s Sully, which stars Tom Hanks as the hero pilot, is the untold story behind the ‘Miracle on the Hudson’. The same goes for Chris Pratt. They are two of the most respected and likeable actors working in Hollywood today with a long list of critically acclaimed blockbusters between them including The Hunger Games and X-Men sagas (for J-Law) and Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy (for Pratt). So what happens when you put these two acting juggernauts in the same film? The journey is due to take 120 Earth years, which is a heck of a long time, so the 5,259 people aboard have been placed into hibernation pods. Unfortunately for Pratt’s mechanic Jim and Lawrence’s writer Aurora, a malfunction in their pods sees them waking up 90 years too early.
