The Covenant’s esteemed
captain and Daniels’
husband. Branson’s mission
is to successfully navigate
the ship and its coupled-up
passengers to a distant
planet to form a new colony.

Billy Crudup
Christopher is the Covenant’s
first mate, as well as the chief
science officer. He is a deeply
religious man who endures
a difficult relationship with
Daniels, due to Captain
Branson’s tendency to seek
her help, rather than turn
to his second in command.
Rosenthal
Tess Haubrich
Rosenthal is a member of
the Covenant’s security
unit, along with Sergeant
Lope and Hallett. Her
partner is being kept in
cryosleep at the start of the
film, so when we meet her
she’s enjoying “a little fling”
to alleviate her boredom. Tennessee
Danny McBride
Tennessee is the Covenant’s
chief pilot and a bit of a joker
(although there’s not much
to laugh about once the plot
gets going). By his own
admission ‘space’ – which
he refers to as “a big, old
sea of nothing” – creeps him
out. He’s married to Faris. WALTER
Michael Fassbender
Created by the Weyland-
Yutani Corporation, Walter
is an android who serves
the Covenant crew (and
occasionally saves them
