The first time out, Pitch
Perfect presented us with
a world based around a
group of all-girl singers
and their a capella group,
who took in Barden
University freshman Beca
(Anna Kendrick). She
shook the group up – for
the better. This time
around they’re off to
compete in the Olympics
of a capella group singing
– which no US group has
ever won before. How
will the girls fare in this
competitive arena?
In a move to further the found
footage genre of horror, this film
is told entirely from a girl’s
computer desktop. While
chatting online one night, six
friends receive a Skype message
from a classmate who took her
own life exactly a year earlier.
When the girls realise it’s not a
prank, it dawns on them that
they’re dealing with something
out of this world.
