So was the job offer deserved? You can decide for yourself – but we do know you’ll be freaked out by this chilling little horror! The Hallow tells the story of a tree surgeon named Adam (Joseph Mawle) and his family, who move to a remote town for a new life. After the locals warn him that there are spirits in the forest that might not like him meddling with the trees, things start going awry – and Adam’s young child might be the target of a terrifying attack. Arnold can’t help but give her the role, and suddenly Izzy is everywhere in his life and his secret gets harder and harder to keep. Unknown to him, his partner Seth (Rhys Ifans) also knows what happened, and before long there’s a farce playing out as husbands, wives and even therapists (Jennifer Aniston on fine form) get properly involved. Co-written and directed by Hollywood legend Peter Bogdanovich (The Last Picture Show), She’s Funny That Way evokes an old-school Broadway farce and will have you chuckling from beginning to end. The night is dark and full of terrors… behind you! shocks aplenty and lots of tension. This could be the start of a brand new, and also very welcome, horror franchise so go out and see it.
