The first two Insidious films
focused on the unlucky
Lambert family and the
demons and spirits who were
conjured when two of their
22 odeon.co.uk
members found themselves
accidentally ‘astral-projecting’
(it’s happened to us all at some
point, eh?). After the events of
the second film, their story
finally came to a satisfying
conclusion, and so rather than
stir things up for the poor guys
again, Insidious: Chapter 3
takes a new path.
This time we get a prequel, in
which a teenage girl named
Quinn (Stefanie Scott) is
threatened by sinister
supernatural entities and it’s up
to psychic Elise Rainier (Lin
Shaye, reprising her role from
the first two films) to figure
out how to help her. With all
the shocks of the first two
outings and then some, expect
to be unnerved.
