For a feel-good musical comedy, the Mamma Mia
sequel is certainly sparking a lot of debate
A decade after the hugely
popular original (for a time
the most successful movie
ever in the UK), Meryl
Streep, Pierce Brosnan
and the gang are back for
another sun-kissed helping
of sand, sea and ABBA
songs. At least, we think
Meryl is returning. She’s on
the poster and IMDb cast-
list. Heck, there’s even a
behind-the-scenes photo of
a chair with Donna’s name
on it. But the trailers, well,
they suggest otherwise...
With this in mind, here
are three questions we need
answered when Mamma
Mia: Here We Go Again
hits cinemas on 20 July.
?
QUESTION 1
Is Donna no longer with us?
Because it certainly seems
that way from the trailers.
QUESTION 2
Who’s the daddy? Amanda
Seyfried’s Sophie is pregnant
in this sequel, and while the
trailers seemingly confirm
Skye as the father, intrigue
does run in the family...
?
QUESTION 3
?
Will Pierce Brosnan be singing
again? Please say yes! Please
say yes! Please say yes!
