We guess the basics are as good a place as any. Thundering into cinemas on Friday 27 October, the film is the fifth chapter in Phase Three of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and the concluding part of Marvel’s Thor Trilogy (following 2011’s Thor and 2013’s Thor: The Dark World). It sees Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the muscular God of Thunder for a sixth time (if you count 2012’s The Avengers, 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and the mid-credits sequence in 2016’s Doctor Strange), and he’s sporting a new look for the occasion: cropped hair, rather than his usual flowing locks (although, that said, he does start the film with his golden mane in place). odeon.co.uk 19
