Ayrshire Cancer Sponsored Walk

In early September , students Our annual sponsored walk took place on the 21 st September 2023 , the day before our September weekend . All houses were walking 5K in support of the Ayrshire Cancer Support . The whole day was organised by the S6 leadership team . They arranged a bake sale in the creation station , face painting and nails in the plaza and a dress down . Here is a quote from one of the S6 Leadership group :
" The Sponsored Walk was on the 21 st September 2023 to raise funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support , which helps people in our local community by offering essential services such as free hospital transport , complementary therapies , support groups and counselling services . As a school we raised £ 430 by hosting a bake sale , face painting and nail painting alongside the whole school walk . In total we raised £ 3,321 . Every class attended and the sixth years cheered at each station along the walk as well as handing out snacks and water to the pupils at the end . A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the bake sale and all the just giving pages ."
Each pupil was encouraged to donate £ 5 for the cause ! Well done to Darley house who raised the most of £ 776 .
