Digital Mental Health Innovation !
We are delighted to announce that a team of students from Marr College has been selected as one of the 4 finalists for the DigiInventors Challenge , this year ! All S2 students had been working hard on their market research , designs and final business pitches during their Business and Digital Enterprise classes .
The # DigiInventors Challenge is a national competition that aims to inspire young people to create digital solutions to improve both the physical and mental wellbeing of students across Scotland .
We are the only school in Scotland to have won the competition twice and we are thrilled to have a team in the final again .
Our team going through to the finals are named GO TREE , and consist of four S2 pupils Elizabeth , Lucie , Sophie and Everly from 2p1 and Fullarton House .
Their app is intended to help young people who suffer from anxiety by providing them with coping strategies , mindfulness techniques , relaxation techniques , positive affirmations and peer support .
The team will participate in a twoday bootcamp in November , where they will receive mentoring and training from experts in digital health , entrepreneurship and innovation . They will also have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of judges and compete for the grand prize .
We are very proud of our students for their creativity , teamwork and passion for making a difference .
We wish them all the best for the bootcamp and the final . Go GO TREE !
You can follow their progress on social media at @ MarrBusiness and @ DigiInventors .
