Edward W. MacKillop, Sr.
EDWARD W. MACKILLOP SR.
LANCASTER – Edward W. MacKillop Sr., 79, died peacefully Monday afternoon, Oct. 10, 2016 at the family farm on North Road. His sister Cheryl was at his side.
Edward was born in Lancaster on Sept. 21, 1937, the son of Edward A. and Marguerite( Kennett) MacKillop. He served as an MP with the US Army in the mid 1950s and was married to the late Linda Mae Hinkley.
Edward was a former police officer and served for the towns of Lancaster and Whitefield. For many years he was employed as a foreman for N. H. Public Service. In the mid 1970s he moved to Florida and was employed as a consultant for a time with Florida Power and Light. He was a longtime resident of Hollywood, Fla. His hobbies included bingo, golf, hunting, alpine skiing, and casino gambling. One of Ed’ s highlights of his many golf tournaments was when he had the opportunity to partner with Fred Couples in a Florida Power and Light Tournament. He returned home in August to be cared for by his sister Cheryl.
Surviving family members include his two children Edward W. MacKillop, Jr. of Lancaster, Teresa Porter and her husband Douglas of Nokomis, Florida; three grandchildren, Joshua and Emily Porter of Nokomis,
Fla., Maci MacKillop of Whitefield; five brothers, James MacKillop and wife Susan, John MacKillop and wife Sandra, Michael MacKillop and wife Jade, Tim MacKillop and Richard MacKillop all of Lancaster; sisters Linda Hopps of Groveton, Cheryl MacKillop of Lancaster, Patricia Kipp of Tilton, Judith Paschal and husband Wayne of Berlin, Joyce Bean of Lancaster, Debra MacKillop of Stark and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and Linda; a son Kenneth MacKillop; two brothers, Robert MacKillop and Ronald MacKillop Sr. and a sister Peggy Brown.
Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

LORRAINE CHAMPAGNE
LITTLETON – Lorraine Champagne, 88, of Littleton and formerly of Whitefield died peacefully on Oct. 14, 2016 at the Lafayette Center in Franconia where she had been a resident since 2012, after a lengthy illness.
Lorraine was born on September 2, 1927 in Walden, Vt. a daughter of Charles Henry and Kate Alice( Sanborn) Kittredge.
Lorraine and her husband Roger owned and operated grocery stores in Dalton and Twin Mountain. She was a former member of the Sisters of the Skillet Club, and she loved cats.
She is survived by her daughter Betty Champagne of Smithfield, Penn.; son Truman Champagne and wife Marlene of Littleton; two grandchildren, Brandon Warhurst and wife Marguerite and Kim Willey and husband Craig; four great-grandchildren, McGowan Willey, Alana Willey, Gabriela Warhurst, and Marguerite " Gretel " Warhurst; one sister, Anna McFarland of Lyndonville, Vt.; several nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, her husband Roger Champagne, and two brothers, Kenneth Kittredge and Walter Kittredge.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at 1 p. m. in the Saint Rose of Lima Cemetery in Littleton with Sister Monique Couture officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorraine’ s name to either a children’ s charity such as St. Jude’ s Hospital or the Alzheimer’ s Association.

Roland A. Devost
ROLAND A. DEVOST
NORTON, Vt.– It is with great sadness that the family of Roland A. Devost announces his passing on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, in West Stewartstown. Roland joins his wife Rita who preceded him in her ascendance to heaven in June of 1999.
For Roland and Rita Devost, there was nothing in life that they treasured more than the legacy of the family they raised together. That family includes four sons; Andrew, Gerald, Ronald and his wife Francine, and
