Meeting Minutes
Judges : Kim Ziegler Absent . All applicants have completed guest judging .
Marketing & Promotions : Rachel Duenow Northwest Designs got their design approved for Champ Show . Facebook has been very busy , have been answering questions regarding Champ Show . At least 25 % of the classes are sponsored .
Nominating : Kevin Berger Would like something put on Facebook regarding the open position for the Board . Put an ad in the September or October Spotlight .
Procedures : Sandy Strube Absent . Nothing to report .
Publicity : Lori Taylor : Kalli and Sara attended BBQ days in Belle Plaine . The Court will be attending the Royalty Banquet on Friday . In September they will be helping out EquiMania at the State Fair . They are planning on handing out awards at the State Fair show .
Royalty : Bridget Behrns Absent . Busy finalizing forms for the Banquet this Friday and everything else is on track .
Rulebook : Cindy Ladd Absent . Nothing to report .
Safety Committee : Corey Swartout Absent . Getting prepared for Champ Show and will be there .
Scholarship : Julie Gintner There were 10 new graduates and 4 postgraduates . Recommendation for scholarships : one overall award for $ 2,000 , one new graduate award for $ 1,250 and one post graduate award for $ 1,250 . The total awarded will be $ 4,500 and $ 1,770 will be carried over to next year ’ s Scholarship fund . Motion made by Lori Taylor , seconded by Julia Northwick to approve the recommendation of the Scholarship awards . Motion carried unanimously .
Old Business : Digital Document Storage : Got a list from Bridget for the Royalty Committee . Staffing Recommendation : Closed meeting prior to 08 / 09 / 23 Board Meeting .
New Business :
Will be setting up the stalls on September 8th , 9th , and 10 th . Looking for additional volunteers to help . Getting bids for hauling stalls from Cannon Falls to the State Fair . Will be taking down the stalls September 28 th , 29 th , and 30 th . James will be sending an e-mail to the Board .
Need to look into a new computer for the qualification ’ s coordinator .
