Attendance
This is what you need to know about attendance. Student attendance on the media course is very good: generally at 98%. You will attend full-time for one or two years. Attendance at ALL classes is compulsory. Registers will be completed by all lecturers. If you are unable to attend on a particular day, it is College policy that you ring in the morning and leave a message for your TUTOR and your LECTURERS. You will need to give your name, what course you are on, an explanation of your absence and how long you expect to be away. Your attendance will be closely monitored by your Learning Tutor with regular reports to management. If you need to go to the doctors, dentist or opticians, or you have a driving lesson, please arrange your appointment in your own time. To authorise an absence, evidence of hospital appointments need to be produced. If you are experiencing problems, other than sickness, which are leading to absences, it is essential that you talk to your Learning Tutor immediately. You are expected to be on time for all your classes; if you are continually late the tutor may refuse entry to the lesson so as not to disturb other students in the class. Lateness is recorded in the register.
Keep in touch with your tutor!
