was during that time I really noticed the transformative
power, that helping someone to look beautiful on the
outside, had on their personal outlook and I wanted to
be a part of that process. It was at that time my passion
for makeup grew.
During the Carnival season, how demanding is it,
when do you start, and how have you managed?
During the Carnival season, things could get quite
hectic without the proper planning, and I usually
start preparing for the upcoming carnival season 6 to
7 months in advance. For 2019 carnival, preparations
started in August 2018.
Being a strictly appointment-only studio, Tanika is able
to manage her time and fulfil my clients’ special event
makeup needs for all the band-launches and other
related events leading up to Carnival. On Carnival
Tuesday her first appointment starts from as early as 12
midnight.
Fortunately, I have an excellent team and they all help
keep things running smoothly and efficiently during
the carnival season.
