Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapists – Housing
Salary £38,260 – £41,142

As an award winning and forward thinking Occupational Therapy Service within
Adult Social Care, we are leading the way towards integrated community services.
Working collaboratively across East Sussex with our District and Borough Councils
we are integrating Occupational Therapy staff into Housing Teams.
The aim of this new service is to enable people to remain safe for longer living
in their own homes. It will provide an innovative approach to home adaptations,
housing solutions and the provision of daily living equipment.
We are looking for experienced Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapists who
can help shape this direction and oversee the day-to-day activities of Occupational
Therapy staff working in this new service. You will be based in one of the five
housing teams across the county.
You will be part of a well-established management team with good support. Your
role will be to focus on specific areas of service delivery within housing to provide
a quality service, resource management, staff performance and the achievement of
set targets. It’s a role where you can also contribute significantly to the local and
national agenda for health, social care and housing.
A professional Occupational Therapy qualification will be matched with a
supervisory background in a health/social care setting along with experience of
major adaptations.

of a transdisciplinary team.
For students aged 3-19 years.
You will need to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge and skills in
one or more of the following areas;
• Postural management and specialist seating,
• AAC and accessing skills,
• Dysphagia,
• Sensory development,
• Hand splinting,
• Working with children or young people with a neurological impairment.

A Care Expert completes a functional assessment following a clinical negligence or
personal injury claim and then produces a cost report covering the lifelong needs of
a claimant. This report includes care, equipment and housing and will help the court
decide on the amount of compensation to be paid to the claimant.
