Al Karamah School opened in January 2019 for children and young
people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). It is the first ASC
school in the UAE to jointly employ therapists and teachers to deliver
child-centred, evidence-based learning. We have an extensive
multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in place which includes occupational
therapy, speech and language therapy, educational psychology and
physiotherapy to allow students to reach their potential in learning.
Al Karamah School encourages professional development within
disciplines to ensure best practice with our students.
We are looking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our
multi-disciplinary team – experience in sensory integration is an
advantage. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fantastic
and enthusiastic MDT, and part of a wider shift in ASC practice
in the UAE. As an occupational therapist working within an ASC
school setting, you will be responsible for the provision of specialist
assessment, intervention and SMART goal setting for our learners.
You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work
collaboratively with teachers and other disciplines.
Applicants must be registered with HCPC and be eligible for
Department of Health (DOH) licencing in the UAE. We are looking for
a candidate with a minimum experience of 2 years post graduate.
