RECRUITMENT Faculty of Health: Medicine, Dentistry and Human Sciences School of Health Professions Lecturer/Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy Ref: A7010 Salary: £34,804 - £59,135 per annum – Grade 7/8 or 9 An exciting opportunity has become available within the School of Health Professions for an Associate Professor or Lecturer in Occupational Therapy (depending on experience). The position is a full-time substantive post to contribute to our exceptional academic offer of pre-registration and postgraduate programmes, with innovative developments on the horizon. Research (60%): You will provide research leadership by coordinating a broad research programme and activity in an area of recognised excellence that has impact on the field of occupational therapy. You will also supervise the work of postgraduate students, be a team player and mentor colleagues to further develop research capacity. Education (40%): You will contribute to the delivery of outstanding pre-registration and postgraduate teaching, scholarship and knowledge transfer which enhances the learning environment and contributes to a high-quality student experience. You will be a registered occupational therapist (or eligible for registration) with appropriate academic and/or professional experience in an area of occupational therapy. You will have an in depth understanding of contemporary occupational therapy practice and research. You will hold a PhD qualification, with a significant track record of publications and international recognition. Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist £33,864 to £38,477 per annum (pro-rata to 42 hours) Full time (part-time considered - 27 hours plus) We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team. The post will initially be to cover maternity leave with a view to becoming permanent subject to review. You will manage a defined caseload of students with complex physical, sensory and learning disabilities demonstrating clinical reasoning, analysis and problem solving throughout the Occupational Therapy process.
