Salary: £34,804 - £59,135 per annum – Grade 7/8 or 9
An exciting opportunity has become available within the School
of Health Professions for an Associate Professor or Lecturer in
Occupational Therapy (depending on experience). The position
is a full-time substantive post to contribute to our exceptional
academic offer of pre-registration and postgraduate programmes,
with innovative developments on the horizon. The University of
Plymouth is a progressive university in a beautiful location with a

(Hons) Occupational Therapy programme ranked 3rd in the 2019

Research (60%): You will provide research leadership by coordinating
a broad research programme and activity in an area of recognised
excellence that has impact on the field of occupational therapy. You
will also supervise the work of postgraduate students, be a team
player and mentor colleagues to further develop research capacity.
Education (40%): You will contribute to the delivery of outstanding
pre-registration and postgraduate teaching, scholarship and
knowledge transfer which enhances the learning environment and
contributes to a high-quality student experience.
You will be a registered occupational therapist (or eligible for
registration) with appropriate academic and/or professional
experience in an area of occupational therapy. You will have an in
depth understanding of contemporary occupational therapy practice
and research. You will hold a PhD qualification, with a significant
track record of publications and international recognition.
Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist
£33,864 to £38,477 per annum (pro-rata to 42 hours)
Full time (part-time considered - 27 hours plus)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist
to join our therapy team. The post will initially be to cover maternity leave with
a view to becoming permanent subject to review. You will manage a defined
caseload of students with complex physical, sensory and learning disabilities
demonstrating clinical reasoning, analysis and problem solving throughout the
Occupational Therapy process.

Outstanding by Ofsted and CQC in every area. The successful candidate will
hold an Occupational Therapy degree/diploma, be able to evidence CPD and
be registered with the HPC. Post-graduate experience in sensory processing
and/or neurodisability treatments would be an advantage but is not essential.
