Salary C£78K per annum plus benefits
As a member of our small Executive team, this role is responsible for ensuring that the services provided to our members are
responsive, valued by members and support the delivery of high quality occupational therapy services across a range of sectors, as
well as the long term sustainability of the organisation and the profession.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this post will manage and coordinate the critical work undertaken across our Communications and
Marketing, Education and Research and Professional Practice departments.
Working with the Executive team and Assistant Directors, the post will help to shape and deliver our annual work plan in line with our
strategic intentions, ensuring the timely delivery of business activity within budgetary parameters throughout the year. Within a context
of rapid change in health, care and related sectors, this role requires a leader with a thorough understanding of how to balance policy
shifts and changing demands with commercial and organisational priorities, whilst remaining focused on delivering high quality member
services.
The post will be responsible for maintaining current stakeholder relationships and building new networks throughout the health and
social care landscape and beyond. As a senior manager within the RCOT it is essential that the successful candidate has extensive
experience of influencing and networking across a range of sectors and services as well as managing a complex and demanding
workload.
Candidates will be qualified occupational therapists with significant experience of both policy analysis and impact, project planning
and delivery and customer care. As well as leading and managing diverse groups of staff, the successful candidate will demonstrate
strong influencing and negotiating skills and be experienced in managing the demands of complex and wide-ranging areas of service
provision.
Displaying a high level of leadership and communication skills, the post holder will be expected to lead by example, and motivate and
empower the Royal College’s departments to deliver exceptional business services to our members.
