What does International
Women's Day mean to you?
This day represents us and what we stand for and
our role as second creation, to be kind, nurturing and
caring for each other, as sisters, friends, daughters
and mothers. So I glorify to see that this day, along
with what my Faith does in the month of March is
dedicated to the achievements that we have made in
society, and I am happy to see that we are stepping
in the right direction to be seen as equals, rather than
underlings. I give thanks for that.
What is your greatest
professional achievement?
I have a few, but my trip to Jamaica to perform at
Cayenne Beach for the “Ganja Festival”, it was
amazing to see and learn so much about the
music and herbs not just to see it as something
criminal. Also being the only representative from
Trinidad and Tobago was also a great honor to
share and grace the stage with artiste the likes
of Bushman and many others was a wonderful
experience.
Where do you see
yourself in five years?
Still creating music, and being better than
the me of yesterday. That is my one true
competition, being better than the me of
Yesterday.
