there was almost no chance for my survival , but I still hoped that maybe there was some way out .
I reached a locked door and looked out the window . A small , windowed shuttle was docked and had fuel pumps attached to it . “ Yes ! If I could just get through this door , then maybe I would have a decent chance of escaping to the shuttle .”
After banging on it for a minute , I turned around to find the EXPERIMENTS slowly creeping towards me . I guessed that whoever ’ s facility it was wouldn ’ t mind if I blasted the door , so I turned around and blasted the door . I kicked it open and I remembered something : EXPERIMENT 9 had not been part of the group trying to ambush me . Telling myself this wasn ’ t as important as escaping , I clambered up the stairs to the shuttle . Detaching all the fuel pumps , I hurried to the cockpit and sat . I activated the ship ’ s engines .
As I was flying out , the ship shook a little bit . Dismissing it as turbulence , I directed my full attention to flying . An alert flashed across the screen : Airlock forcibly opened . At this point I couldn ’ t ignore any trouble and set the ship on autopilot to investigate the source of the warning . As I began to look around , I was distracted by what I had just witnessed . Ironically , this facility had likely been built to create a better human but had created monsters instead . “ I can ’ t believe this is what the scientists intended . Monsters from humans … Something had to have gone terribly wrong .”
Halfway in my systematic inspection of the ship , I heard a familiar snarling noise . I turned around and saw EXPERIMENT 9 just before everything went black .
