DAY 9 • The Antrim Coast • Visit Bushmills Distillery • Giant ’ s Causeway
We ’ ll enjoy a scenic drive through the glens of the Antrim Coast , taking in the diverse landscapes that include glacial valleys , grassy cliffs , dense woods , and quaint villages . Along the way , we ’ ll stop in the village of Carnlough to stretch our legs before continuing our drive .
Next , we ’ ll make another stop at the nearby Old Bushmills Distillery . Granted permission to make spirits in 1608 , this is the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world . Here , we ’ ll have the opportunity to taste a few varieties and see how the art of making Irish whiskey has evolved over the past 400 years .

Then drive to the Giant ’ s Causeway ( a UNESCO World Heritage Site ), a curious landscape formed by volcanic eruptions dating back millions of years . Here , hexagonal basalt columns line the coast , forming natural stairs leading from igneous rock cliffs into the sea .

DAY 10 • Isle of Mull , Scotland • Creamery visit • Explore Tobermory • Gaelic choir performance
Arrive in Tobermory , the main town on the Isle of Mull . Visit a family-owned creamery to learn about island culinary traditions , then enjoy a walking tour of Tobermory . After dinner , a Gaelic choir will perform Gaelic songs onboard .

DAY 11 • Isle of Lewis Arrive in Stornoway , where we ’ ll visit the 5,000-yearold Callanish Stones , an ancient standing stone circle . Discover Gearrannan Blackhouse Village and hear the music of a melodeon , an accordion-style instrument used to play traditional music .

DAY 13 • Orkney Isles • Visit local family Visit a local family near Stromness today , for an unfiltered view of what local life is like in this tight-knit Scottish island community .

DAY 14 • Disembark ship • Aberdeen Set off on a city tour of Aberdeen . Discover the Old Town , and see the University of Aberdeen ’ s 15th-century architecture . Also , see the cottages of Aberdeen ’ s Footdee , a quaint 19th-century fishing village .

DAY 15 • Return to U . S . Transfer to the airport for your flight home . Or begin your Scotland & England : St . Andrews , Edinburgh & York post-trip extension .

On Day 6 , sail to the Isle of Man , for an in-depth look at the island ’ s prehistoric roots , and its modern traditions , including the preparation of kippers ( smoked herring ).
DAY 12 • The Orkney Isles • Skara Brae , West Mainland Orkney
Enjoy a walking tour of Stromness on the Orkney Isles . Visit a chapel built by Italian prisoners of war for a conversation with the relative of a POW . Then , explore the bustling port city of Kirkwall . Later , visit West Mainland Orkney , including its many Neolithic sites .
