Scott: They don’t thoroughly consider their resolu- to help you plan and monitor your performance to
tions before making them, they don’t have a plan to
execute them and then they let being busy be an
excuse for not seeing them through.
4. How do you combat the ‘failing’ of resolutions
personally and professionally?
Jessica: There are so many strategies that can be
used to uphold any new goal but none more valuable
than that of the help FROM A PROFESSIONAL who
specialises in the area of assistance you require.
Personally, I invest in help A LOT! I have a business
coach, a powerlifting coach and I’ve had nutrition
coaching too.
Matt: We end the failing of goals and resolutions
by helping people to define what they want to
achieve, setting them out in a language that the
subconscious mind understands and installing them
into the subconscious by utilising hypnotherapy.
People tend to have a belief system or a 'glass ceiling'
that tends to be learnt when they're very young "I'm
only worth $20/hr", "I can only be (so) happy", "I will
always be overweight", then when they start to
achieve they self-sabotage as the old beliefs play out,
so we help people remove these old beliefs and glass
ceilings.
Scott: Seek the help of an expert, if it's to do with the
bank, we'd love to help. See a specialist and get them
achieve the plan.
5. Do you have any tips or tricks for those that have
fallen off the bandwagon already
Jessica: Firstly, the key to bouncing back is
never blaming yourself. You didn’t fail, the plan failed.
You can never truly fail if you don’t ever give up. So, set
a new plan; a smarter plan, one that’s directed
towards an achievable goal and accompanies a
sustainable approach. When I happen to stubble and
fall off the wagon myself, I always start fresh with
some self-reflection. It’s always good to know what
went wrong the first time and set a safeguard
strategy to prevent the temptation of deviating from
your plan once again.
Matt: Get back on, do something different - the
definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and
over again and expecting a different result. If you find
yourself setting the same resolutions or goals and you
haven't achieved them, change your approach, do
something different, contact an expert for assistance.
Scott: For financial related resolutions - review your
expenses and income, create a budget, plan how you
will manage debt, monitor your performance against
that budget regularly so that you can stay on track and
ideally over achieve on your financial goal.
