PET day
Year 5
Year 2
On our recent pet day, there were different types of pets. There was Layla (the Head teacher’s parrot), two cats and lots more. One of the cats was gingery and the other was an indoor cat that was white.
We got to see lots of animals on the day. Each owner gave a talk about the animals; what the animals eat, their sleeping habits, likes and dislikes, etc. But all we wanted to do was see the animals and stroke them.
Now I want to talk about the Head teacher’s parrot. The Head teacher’s parrot can say “BismillAllah , MashaAllah” and lots of other words. The Head teacher’s parrot is also good at whistling and making other types of sounds.
Year 4
Year 2 were visited by a number of furry and exotic pets during School Pet Day. The children were full of fascination and intrigue and this was apparent when it was time to question the pets' owners.
They learnt that the headteacher's African Grey parrot could say more than a hundred words, eats special food and can crack a walnut with its beak. They also discovered that cats do not like to be stroked in a certain way.
