These agencies include Turning Point, Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA, Girls on the Run of Northwest Illinois and Main Stay Therapeutic Farm. In 2019 the event was renamed The McHenry County Santa Run For Kids. The McHenry County Santa Run For Kids 5K offers its participants a full Santa suit including a hat, beard, top, bottom and belt. A Santa long sleeve shirt with hat and beard is optional. This family fun event is already a tradition for many that have participated. every year. The sea of Santa’s sauntering through the streets is spectacular to see. Over 1,000 participants, spectators and volunteers make this an event you will never forget.
