Drive: The holidays are a special time of year, but for heart
families, it’s also stressful knowing it’s flu season! We invite you
to join us for cookies and milk with Santa and special guests
Mickey and Minnie! We will have entertainment, crafts, give-
aways, and more! This free event is open to all heart families
(that live in the same household) and cardiac hospital staff.
**While we’d love everyone to attend this event, for the safety
and health of all heart warriors, we respectfully ask that your
family not attend this event if anyone in your household is sick
or has any illness symptoms before or on the day of this event.
Messenger Public Library, 113 Oak St.: The Library Board and
Staff invite everyone to join us for holiday entertainment,
activities and fun! Come enjoy live music and a visit from Santa.

Live Radio Play” has become a holiday tradition at Oil Lamp - a
tradition that audiences embrace enthusiastically as they’re
swept up in the magic and whimsy of this timeless classic. Only
seven actors bring the dozens of characters to life in a 1946
radio play - complete with sound effects - that tells the story of
George Bailey, a young man whose troubles lead him to wish

It’s a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago!

Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.: The second longest-running
holiday play returns to Chicago. For 17 years, the American
Blues Ensemble has treated Chicago audiences to a live 1940s-
style radio broadcast. Once again, the incredible “It’s a Wonder-
ful Life” cast assembles to recreate the entire town of Bedford
Falls with Foley sound effects, an original score and holiday
carols. Critics call this “perfect Christmas theater” and “first-
class holiday fare.” After each performance at Stage 773, the
cast keeps the merry mood going by serving milk and cookies
to the crowd. Tickets $19-$69.
