There are many people in this world who likes reading books, but only a few percent of these people read the real books. Many of us love to read stories online on our phone. The reason is simple: it is more practical to carry around a mobile than some heavy, middle-sized book. We are used to have our phone everywhere with us, so it is easier for us to read some enjoyable book or comics on our phone almost everywhere. There are many apps or online pages to read from, for example, Wattpad or Archive for our own, but my personal favourite is Webtoon.

Webtoon is a South Korean webtoon publisher launched in 2004 by Naver Corporation. This platform publishes webtoons - compact digital comics. Webtoon is a home to thousands of stories across twenty-three genres, including romance, comedy, fantasy, action, and horror. It is available in many other languages except of Korean, for example English, French, German, Spanish etc.

The platform partners up with digital artists - creators who make these webtoons for us. They can publish their webtoons as an original content under the Webtoon Originals. You can subscribe to these webtoons and read a new episode every week, or you can download them for free on your devices. And if you read all your recent webtoons, you can find new ones through function For you, Daily, Originals or Canvas. There are a lot of interesting stories followed by beautiful artworks and some of them have a good plot like Purple Hyacinth. There must be happy endings or Unholy Blood. Also, various movies or k-dramas (Korean dramas) have been produced based on webtoons realised via Naver Corporation´s service. Although Webtoon is a popular comics publisher, there are not as many comics as on some other online platforms but there are a lot of options to choose from.
