WHAT OUR STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES The climate of a campus is experienced differently from person to person. Climate is about perception — how it feels to be in the community, not simply what happens. In Spring 2016, NWTC created a cross-functional team to develop its own Campus Climate Survey to ask students about their perceptions of campus climate, academic and campus life as well as the extent to which they have experienced or witnessed discrimination, harassment and sexual assault. NWTC sent the survey to 8,423 students; 2,862 responses were eligible for analysis.
