The clinic was broken into teams with a Lead Judge spokesperson who covered and analyzed the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) of the NWHA judging program. Following the SWOT analysis, the attendees reviewed their findings as a collective team – addressing how this activity’s information can improve not only the judging program, but judg- ing in general, as well as the NWHA as a whole. Following introductions of the Executive Committee Officers and Directors, attendees were treated to a never before seen promotional video developed in honor of NWHA’s 20 years of Sound Principles and Sound Horses move- ment. The attending members voted and approved the previous year annual meeting minutes as well as the financial report de- tailing the financial security of the organization. Swearing in of the 2018 Board was conducted by fellow NWHA member and judge, Peggy Moore who read the Oath of Office aloud to the new team as they recited and pledged themselves to service in accordance to the mission and purpose of the NWHA. Moore also serves in the capacity as NWHA’s DQP Coordinator and provided an overview of the changes in DQP and APHIS procedures effective for the 2018 year. Specifically Moore pre- sented details that covered the new inspection procedures re- garding tack and reiterating the processes for inspection & safety aspects that shows and exhibitors should be following.
